STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS!
EVERY SATURDAY FROM 7 TO 10 AM
Hello Sports Fans!
There are some changes on Title Town Sports Talk. As you may be aware I am not on the air and a new show has taken the place of Title Town Sports Talk. I do not know when or even if I will be on the air again but I wanted to say thank you to all the listeners that tuned in to hear me each Saturday morning. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the time I spent with you.
I also want to thanks all of our guests for the time they took each Saturday morning to talk to all of you. Everyone involved in sports and activities in our community puts in an amazing amount of time to make this a better place to live. I appreciated every single minute I had to talk with them. I can't even begin to tell you how good it felt to be able to talk about issues the effect our kids each and every week.
Title Town Sports Talk was able to win TWO New Mexico Broadcaster's Association Talk Show Host of the Year Awards while I was fortunate enough to be on the air. We also were honored to receive the New Mexico Activities Association Distinguished Service Award. I won these awards because of the guests and the listeners that were a part of the show and I will never forget it! I tried to pick guests and topics that were important to you and worked hard to keep it interesting for our listeners but mostly I wanted to show our kids that there were options and opportunities out there for them.
When we first went on the air I was mostly concerned wheather or not they would let us on the radio again the following week! In a short time my main concern was to try to help everyone involved in sports and activities, get their event on the air and to keep you up to date on fundraisers and get you involved. I wanted to stay on the radio and work to get 100% participation in school activities for the kids and I also wanted to get 100% participation from the parents, families and listeners. Unrealistic? Well I am the eternal optimist and it gave me a reason to keep working hard every week!
I guess I should take the time to thank the Mayor, Ken Miyagishima. We joked around a lot with him and he was always a good sport about it. I disagreed on a couple issues with him and the city council and I hope you will continue to take the time to keep them up to date on what is important to you. I tired to hold their feet to the fire and now it is up to you. Don't give up, there is an election November 3, 2009 and ask those people running for office tough questions before you give them your vote!
I do not know if there will be any broadcast opportunities in my future in this area. If I have the opportunity again I will be back on with you trying to give you the same quality broadcast each and every week. My wife, Suzann, and I have some ideas in mind to give us the chance to give back to the kids and the community and if we can get them working we will let you know.
I will miss talking to my seven listeners each week! Take care and be well.
Thank you Las Cruces!
Stay tuned for more information!
I look forward to talking to you soon.
